INTRO: Israeli troops blew up two Palestinian homes in the West Bank on Friday, in retaliation for the attack a day earlier on an office of Israel's Likud Party. Larry James reports from Jerusalem on Israel's response to the attack on the northern Israeli town of Beit Shean, in which six Israelis were killed and more than 20 wounded.

TEXT: Israeli troops entered the village of Jalboun before dawn, and blew up the homes of the two men responsible for the Beit Shean attack.

Both men were killed during Thursday's attack on the party headquarters, which took place while voting was underway in a party primary. The Palestinian Authority condemned the shooting.

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, responding to the Beit Shean shooting and the attacks earlier Thursday on Israeli tourists in Kenya, vowed revenge.

He said Israel will hunt down those who have spilled the blood of its citizens.

Mr. Sharon's remarks came as he delivered a somber victory speech, in the wake of his landslide win for the leadership of the Likud Party over his foreign minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. (Signed)
