INTRO: President Bush has condemned the suicide car bombing Wednesday in Karachi, Pakistan that killed more than a dozen people. V-O-A White House Correspondent Paula Wolfson reports.

TEXT: The president calls the killings "terrorist murders."

In a written statement, Mr. Bush says the United States deplores and condemns the suicide bombing in Karachi.

He says the attack shows the danger still facing the international community. And he says it strengthens the resolve of nations to work together to fight terrorism at home and abroad.

The car bombing occurred in the parking lot of a Karachi hotel. Those killed included French and Pakistani citizens.

It is unclear who is responsible for the bombing. But Pakistani President Pervez Musharaff said he thinks it is linked to his government's stand against international terrorism. (signed)
