Hoping to tap into the ever-growing leisure-time market, Sony has released a series of landmark jazz and classical recordings accessible to audiences of all ages.

TEXT: Trumpeter Miles Davis was one of the most most reflective players in jazz. He crafted such sultry ballads as "Blue In Green" from his 1959 album "Kind Of Blue," and later, "Circle" from "Miles Smiles."

The new series "Music For You" offers a diverse selection of classical recordings from Dvorak's [Dih-VORE-zhaahk] "Cello Concerto" and Bach's "Sonatas" featuring award-winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma, to Erik Satie's [Saah-TEEZ] "Trois Gymnopedies" [TWAH Zhim-no-PEE-deez] performed by Japanese classical pianist Riri Shimada [RER-ee She-MAAH-dah].

Jazz pianist Dave Brubeck is best-known for his 1959 million-selling hit "Take Five," a dance favorite at clubs and colleges across the country. But, Brubeck also has his moody and introspective side.

TEXT: Dave Brubeck was 44 years-old when he recorded "Lost Waltz" in 1965. It was released a year later on his album "Time In." It's also on "Ballads," from Sony Music's new jazz and classical series "Music For You."

Upcoming releases in the series include albums by classical composers Philip Glass and John Williams. The series sampler, titled "What Does Your World Sound Like?," includes Dave Brubeck playing Hoagy Carmichael's "Stardust." (SIGNED)
