-News for Wed. 01 May to Fri. 03 May 2002 Editorial Wake up UN!!! The current editorial is followed by the recent editorial "Children are precious and not born to become bombs". This editorial is repeated because it not only exposes the world community, specifically the UN, as having a discriminatory practice in identifying human rights violations, it also has no definition regarding which kind of violations are the most offensive. Rather it leaves these decisions to the arbitrary decision making of it's officials who take their notions of right and wrong with them as they deal with aid and other humanity issues. What is most alarming here is not the so called "impeccable" character of these UN people but the fact that such impeccable characters can ignore what is happening in Palestine to the children of the Palestine region. Palestinian children are being indoctrinated by both their home life, school life, and religious training, as well as the political machine under Mr. Arafat, to believe that it is a noble and heavenly thing to feed their intellect and emotions on hate for their neighboring Jewish communities and grow up with the expectation of becoming a martyr. These children are being taught that "hate" is a way of life as they see it expressed in the many terrorist groups working with or in conjunction with those terrorist groups that Mr. Arafat himself has helped to finance, train, and organize as his so-called "troops" against the "occupation". There is no more hideous crime against humanity than this crime being perpetrated against the Palestinian children. By this very teaching they are being robbed of any possibility of becoming peaceful every day kind of people. They will become a horror to the entire world as they live out this dream of "glory". Hate is behind all terror and all crimes of humanity. If one hates there is no longer room for love and actions done out of hate are the crimes against humanity that these UN leaders should be right on top off. But by their very own words and observations they display a strange avoidance of the dilemma of these poor children and disregard those that prepare these poor children for such a fate as they look for much smaller and less hideous crimes against humanity possibly committed out of efforts of the Israelis to put a stop to the incessant terrorism for which Mr. Arafat has no will to put to an end. The Israeli military machine has demonstrated how that terror can be ended. This terrorism has been checked and contained by the Israeli military machine which should serve to prove to Mr. Arafat and the rest of the world that this terrorism can be rooted out and destroyed if there is a will to root it out and destroy it. Apparently the world wants to see Mr. Arafat released so he can restore the infrastructure and try again. What is there to convince anyone that this "terrorist" has cleansed his heart of hate and will work towards true peace. The world is ignoring the children and terrorist mentality they are being taught to worship. Who is this terrorist who condones warping the mind of children with hate and gives them the desire to be martyrs and die as a human bomb? Who are these people in the UN who cannot see how grave a crime this really is? Is it always going to be the case that we see what we want to see and disregard what we do not want to see? Editorial Children are precious and not born to become bombs. VOA states that the Palestinian militant group Hamas is calling on children not to attack Israeli settlements in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. In a statement, Hamas says the loss of too many children in such attacks would hurt the future of the Palestinian people. The article continues and indicates that in Gaza on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers killed three armed Palestinian boys who were trying to enter a Jewish settlement. The 13- and 14-year-old classmates left behind notes indicating they knew their action would be fatal. In a BBC news video clip of a Hamas leader announcing restraint to such children he is heard to say (paraphrase) that they should save themselves until they are older at which time they can attack Israel. It is obvious by these words that this Hamas leader - well fed, well spoken, well dressed, shaven, trimmed beard and clean appearance - has long term future aspirations of terror for the Israel nation. But what is most horrifying is the whole character of this little speech made before the BBC cameras and effectively the entire world. The Hamas leader obviously believes and is practicing "become a martyr by becoming a human bomb" child indoctrination. Who raises children in this manner? Who provided them with the bombs and who instructed them how to wear and use the bombs? Someone like this Hamas terrorist leader. If anyone in the western world were to teach their children this sort of thing their children would be taken from them by government welfare agencies and the parents taken to court and thrown into prison. This is worse than child slavery. Who dares to turn children into human bombs by raising them with this kind of terrorist mentality? In North America if we witness child abuse both sexual and physical then the parents, or care givers, or others responsible are prosecuted and the children taken from them. If we witness in our society under nourished, starving and dying children, because care is withheld the same thing happens. We raise multi millions of dollars by religious, government, and other care agencies just for children in need - world wide. But when this most hideous of crimes is committed by an anti Jewish terrorist populace we look the other way. How can we possibly look the other way or do we feel so sorry for the Palestinians that they can do no wrong? The western world is more concerned about alleged "possible" human rights violations committed by the Israel nation as they struggle and war against this form of terrorist. Is not this mentality towards children the greatest most insidious violation of human rights practiced anywhere in the world? Who knows of a worse crime against children than what is quickly becoming a common mentality in the Palestinian populace. How is it they can cry out about humanitarian issues while raising their children with this mentality. There is something very wrong here. UN!!! - Wake up UN! The obvious mentality of these terrorists is flaunted before the entire world and this world is obsessed with of all things the Israeli anti terrorist military effort at Jenin where an alleged but not substantiated massacre took place. Human rights activists and aid workers are offended by the effects of this war on the Palestinian communities, they cry foul, they cry out about human rights violations where ever they see any but they do not say one single word against this insidious and horrible crime being practiced by Palestinians with their own children. No wonder the Israeli government is distrustful of the UN and a hand picked committee to investigate Jenin. Do these workers serve the cause they profess or are their sympathies so totally with the Palestinians that they cannot see what the Palestinians are doing to their own children. This is not hate talk. This is fact. There have been numerous documentaries on TV that substantiate this from leading News Broadcasters in America. If poverty is the single most important reason for this terrorism coming primarily from poverty stricken Palestinian refugee camps then why has not Mr. Arafat been feeding this destitute part of the Palestinian population with the hundreds of millions of dollars of foreign aid he has received? Why has Mr. Arafat preferred to spend many dollars on arms, weapons, munitions, bombs, terrorist training, and the like sort of activity? Mr. Arafat, where is your heart? I believe his heart is filled with the hate of a Jewish state living next door. Has his attitude been anything significantly different than that of his Hamas leader that urged the children to wait until they were older and then they could kill Israeli citizens. What kind of sickness is this? Where is the so called civilized world on the issue of teaching children to hate, to grow up and be a martyr, to become of all things a human bomb? How come this is not considered a crime against humanity. When the world court system seeks and puts on trial leaders from Yugoslavia for human rights violations and ignores what the Palestinians are doing to their own children then we have a rampant hypocrisy and justice system administered out of revenge and secret agendas and not out of principle. And how is it that the PLA condoned act of strapping a bomb around yourself and then exploding your self in the midst of innocent children, their parents, and friends, and other citizens is not considered a crime against humanity. If these so called UN human aid workers believe in "rules", why are there not rules against this sort of thing and why is it that they are not offended by this sort of thing. What is wrong with these people. How can they be anything else but offended. Wake up UN!!! The only worse form of adult inhumanity is lining people up before a big hole and using a machine gun to get rid of them or burning them by the thousands in furnaces or killing them by the thousands in gas chambers.
