Foreign ministers and
representatives from the 57-member Organization of the Islamic Conference are
gathering in Malaysia for an international Muslim
conference.
The crisis in the
Middle East and the U.S.-led global war on terrorism is expected to dominate
discussion at the three-day meeting, that begins Monday in Kuala
Lumpur.
Conference delegates
say they want to talks about ways to establish a dialogue between Islamic
countries and the West on the subject of terrorism.
They say many Muslims
believe their faith has been under attack since the September 11 terrorist
attacks on the United States.
The delegates at the
Malaysia conference say they want to redefine terrorism in such a way, that
would help establish a global system to identify terrorists and their
sponsors.
