Vice President Dick Cheney, on a visit to the Middle East, says he would be willing to meet with Palestinian Chairman Yasser Arafat, if he agrees to a ceasefire. Mr. Cheney, speaking in Jerusalem, says Mr. Arafat must demonstrate a great effort to implement a ceasefire and begin carrying out the peace plan brokered by C-I-A Director George Tenet last year. Robert Satloff, the executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, tells News Now's Sarah Williams the significance of Mr. Cheney's offer.
