A fire in China's southwestern Sichuan Province has killed at least 19 people and injured 24 others.
All the dead were residents of a nine-story building in Nanchong city. The first three floors of the building were used for shops and entertainment businesses, with living quarters on the upper floors.
The state-run China Daily says the cause of the blaze, which broke out on Friday, is still under investigation. Reports from the area indicate the fire was fueled by flammable items stored on the building's lower levels.
