Anna Kournikova will have to wait a little longer for her first tennis title. The unseeded Russian was ousted in the semifinals of the Mexican Open, in Acapulco, by unseeded Katarina Srebotnik of Slovenia.
Kournikova won the first set 7-5 before she was crushed 6-3, 6-1.
Top-seed Elena Dementieva of Russia was also sent to the sidelines when she was upset in straight sets by number-seven Paola Suarez of Argentina 7-5, 6-3.
