Israel's Supreme Court has refused to rule against the military's policy of targeted killings against Palestinian militants suspected of terrorism.
An Israeli Arab member of parliament, Mohammad Barakei, had petitioned the Israeli high court to outlaw the practice, noting the killings presume the target is guilty without a trial.
But the court rejected the petition Tuesday, saying it should not get involved in military matters.
Mr. Barakei vowed to pursue his legal action in international courts.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has indicted a soldier on negligent manslaughter charges for killing a Palestinian woman at a checkpoint last year. Reports say the trial next month will be the first of its kind since the start of the current Palestinian uprising.
