Afghan interim leader Hamid Karzai says building a secure Afghanistan will be difficult but not impossible.

In an interview with the Associated Press Monday, Mr. Karzai said nobody imagined that a massive terrorist structure such as the Taleban could disappear in a matter of days.

But he said it did and this shows that nothing is impossible.

Mr. Karzai described his job as Afghan leader as very difficult, but said he is up to the challenge.

He also said it is time for young Afghans living in the United States, and members of the Afghan middle class who fled the country over the last 20 years, to come home and help rebuild.

He proposed giving these Afghans duel citizenship if they return.
