The Israeli army says it arrested a member of the radical group Hamas as he was preparing a suicide attack.
The army did not say exactly when it arrested the suspect, identified as Sharif Yusef Mahama Hanini. But it said Monday soldiers recently picked him up in the West Bank city of Qalqilya.
The army says the suspect confessed to having contacts with two suicide bombers who killed 23 Israelis in separate attacks last year.
It also says Mr. Hanini had prepared a will that soldiers found in his house.
