Cambodian officials say gunmen have killed an opposition political activist and his wife - less than a week before local elections set for February 3.
Lah Kok, from the royalist Funcinpec Party, was shot dead along with his wife as they rode on a motorcycle in Pursat province.
The deputy provincial governor Khim Seila says it is too early to say whether the attack was politically motivated.
Several opposition candidates have been killed in the run up to Sunday's elections.
The New York-based Human Rights Watch has urged international donors to put more pressure on the Cambodian government to protect candidates and investigate campaign violence.
