African Football Cup: Cameroon Defeats Togo; DRC wins over Ivory Coast

Defending champion Cameroon has defeated Togo, 3-0, to maintain its unbeaten record and reach the quarterfinals of the African Cup of Nations football tournament in Mali.

The Indomitable Lions scored all their goals in the second half, with Lucien Mettomo scoring in the 52nd minute, Samuel Eto'o adding another goal 10 minutes from time and Salomon Olembe scoring in the 89th minute.

Also, The Democratic Republic of Congo scored a 3-1 win over Ivory Coast to reach the final eight. Yves Yuvuladio scored the opening goal in the 28th minute. Shabani Nonda added another goal in the 66th minute while Papy Kimoto scored Congo's third goal on an 80th minute penalty. Ivory Coast's only goal came from Kandia Traore in the 86th minute.

The victories leave Cameroon with nine points and Democratic Republic of Congo with four points from group play.
