American golfer Chris DiMarco closed with a two-under-par round of 69 to win the Phoenix Open Sunday and collect his third PGA Tour victory in as many seasons.

DiMarco finished with a four-day total of 267 and earned $720,000 to rise to an early lead at the top of the PGA Tour money list. One shot back were Kenny Perry and Kaname Yokoo of Japan. Yokoo fired a closing round seven-under-par 64 to record his highest career finish on the PGA Tour.

Two-time U.S. Open champion Lee Janzen had a 64, his lowest score in a final round since the 1994 Texas Open, and tied for fourth with fellow American John Daly at 269. Duffy Waldorf, who had a one-stroke lead at the start of the final round, carded a 73 to finish another shot back.
