Tibet's spiritual leader is feeling fine and is set to be discharged from a Bombay hospital after being hospitalized overnight with stomach complaints.

The 66-year-old Buddhist leader was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital in Bombay on Sunday after doctors who examined him in the eastern state of Bihar said there was a lump in his stomach.

Doctors said today the Dalai Lama had a simple upset stomach and is feeling fine after being put on antibiotics.

The Dalai Lama is revered as the reincarnation of a long line of Buddhist Tibetan kings. He fled Tibet in 1959 with thousands of supporters after a failed uprising against China.
