Former Egyptian Finance Minister Sentenced

An Cairo court has sentenced former Egyptian finance minister Mohieddin al-Gharib to eight years in prison for corruption.
The court also found former customs chief Ali Taha and five other co-defendants guilty, sentencing them to from one to 11 years.
Al-Gharib was Egypt's minister of finance between 1996 and 1999.
