Irish police say they have released two of the three men recently arrested in connection with the 1998 car bombing in Omagh, Northern Ireland, that killed 29 people.
The two men were released Tuesday without charge. Authorities say a third man detained near the border with Northern Ireland remains in custody.
Under Irish anti-terrorist law, suspects can be detained for up to 72 hours before they are charged, freed or have their detention extended.
The Omagh bombing was the bloodiest single attack in the 30-year sectarian conflict in the British province.
The Irish Republican Army dissident group, the Real IRA, claimed responsibility for the Omagh blast that also left hundreds wounded.
