The U.S. military says there is no chance survivors will be found from Friday's crash of a helicopter in the southern Philippines with 10 U.S. servicemen aboard.
Officials say the focus of their mission has shifted from rescue to recovery of bodies and wreckage. So far, the remains of only three of the Americans have been found.
The U.S. Chinook helicopter was en route to an airbase after delivering U.S. troops for joint operations with Philippine forces against Muslim guerrillas on Basilan Island.
Speaking on U.S. television Sunday, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said there was no sign the helicopter was brought down by hostile fire and that the cause of the crash is being investigated.
