Olympic and World 800-meter champion running Maria Mutola of Mozambique is the considered the favorite to win her events at the Gaz de France indoor meet in Lievin on Sunday.

Austrian rival Stephanie Graf, who posted wins in the three previous meets of this season's Energizer EuroSeries, pulled out of the series final in northern France on Saturday because of illness. Mutola finished runner-up to Graf in two EuroSeries events and was third in Ghent, Belgium.

While the anticipated duel between the two runners is off, another awaits the fans. American Stacy Dragila, the Olympic and World pole vault champion, will attempt to halt an astonishing record-breaking run by Russian Svetlana Feofanova.

Two weeks ago, Feofanova set an indoor world record of 4.73 meters, her third record in eight days. Feofanova says she wants to raise the world mark to five meters. Dragila still holds the outdoor world record at 4.81 meters.
