Thai authorities have revoked the visas of two foreign journalists working for the Hong Kong-based Far Eastern Economic Review magazine. They are accused of threatening public order.

Immigration police say the two journalists, Bangkok bureau chief Shawn Crispin and correspondent Rodney Tasker, were notified of the action in letters delivered to their homes last Friday.

Authorities say the action was taken in response to a January 10 article in the magazine that alleged tensions between Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra and Thailand's constitutional monarch King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

That issue of the magazine was banned in Thailand.
