Albanian lawmakers have confirmed the cabinet of Prime Minister Pandeli Majko, ending a month-long political crisis in the Balkan country.
Despite the confirmation vote, Albania's ruling Socialist Party, the former communists, remains divided between supporters of party chief Fatos Nano and those of former Prime Minister Ilir Meta.
The former prime minister resigned last month amid party infighting.
Disputes between supporters of Mr. Meta and those of Mr. Nano had blocked the replacement of ministers who resigned following accusations of abuse of power.
Meanwhile, the country's opposition Democratic Party has called for the creation of an all-party government for the Balkan country. They said Mr. Majko's program is ignoring the energy crisis facing Albania.
