Seven women who lost husbands and a son in the September terrorist attack on the World Trade Centers are suing Osama bin Laden and more than 150 others.

The women filed a class-action lawsuit Tuesday in a U.S. District Court in Washington. The suit not only names Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaida terrorist organization, but also ousted Taleban ruler Mullah Mohammad Omar, the Iranian and Iraqi governments, and 141 people and groups the United States says have financed terrorists.

The women are seeking $100 billion in damages. Six of the women were made widows when hijacked airliners slammed into the World Trade Centers in New York last September 11. The seventh plaintiff lost her son.

The women say they want to bankrupt the defendants and make sure they can never strike again.

The women say they have no real expectations of collecting damages, but feel they must take some concrete action against those who destroyed their families.
