A Greek prosecutor has charged high-technology tycoon Socrates Kokkalis with fraud, money laundering and spying on behalf of the now-defunct Warsaw Pact.
The prosecutor Tuesday charged Mr. Kokkalis with passing Western technology secrets to East German intelligence during the Cold war. Mr. Kokkalis is also alleged to have bribed a member of Russia's Olympic Committee so he could win the Russian lotto machines market for himself.
Mr. Kokkalis is also one of Greece's leading media entrepreneurs and heads the Olympiakos Pireus soccer club.
