As many as 23 refugees are
still unaccounted for Saturday after a Thursday night fire in Europe's
largest holding center for asylum seekers.
When the fire broke out at
Yarl's Wood Immigration Center near Bedford in southeastern England, refugees
fled the burning complex.
Officials cannot be certain
if still missing refugees are on the run, or if they perished in the blaze.
Firemen are still at the
smoldering scene today.
Witnesses said the holding
center fire began during a demonstration staged by refugees.
