President Bush has expressed U.S. resolve in the fight against terrorism on a stop in Alaska enroute to Asia.

In a speech Saturday at Elmendorf Air Force Base, President Bush said no cave is deep enough for terrorists to hide from U.S. justice.

He also said the best way to secure the homeland is to "unleash the U.S. military." The U.S. president also urged Congress to pass a economic stimulus package, saying lawmakers owe this to Americans.

Mr. Bush says terrorism and economic issues will top the agenda during his six-day visit to Asia, which will take him to Japan, South Korea and China. Meetings with Japanese officials begin Monday.

Earlier Saturday, in his weekly radio address, Mr. Bush said the Japanese government needs to make bold reforms to save its economy from bad loans. He also said the United States is favorable to South Korean dialogue with North Korea but he warned Washington will not allow any dangerous country to threaten freedom with weapons of mass destruction.

North Korea, along with Iraq and Iran, are part of what Mr. Bush calls "an axis of evil."

During his visit to China, a new member of the World Trade Organization, President Bush will likely focus on trade. He is also expected to raise the issues of religious freedom and human rights, including Beijing's crackdown on the banned Falun Gong spiritual movement.
