Kjetil Andre Aamodt of Norway has won the seventh medal of his Olympic career by capturing the gold medal in the men's Super-G alpine skiing event at Snowbasin.
Aamodt claimed his second gold medal in three days Saturday, as he completed his run down the Grizzly course in one minute and 21.58 seconds. It was the second time the Norwegian skier has upset favored Stephan Eberharter. The Austrian finished just one-tenth of one second back to claim the silver medal. Eberharter was also favored in the downhill event, but had to settle for bronze.
Another Austrian, Andreas Schifferer, picked up the bronze medal, barely edging compatriot and downhill gold medalist Fritz Strobl. Daron Rahlves was the top American finisher, placing eighth (1:22.48).
