Colombian prosecutors have charged three suspected Irish Republican Army members with training leftist guerrillas in the use of explosives.
The prosecutors sent their case against the three men to a judge in Bogota on Friday. Authorities say Niall Connolly, James Monaghan, and Martin McCauley spent time in the safe haven of FARC, Colombia's largest rebel army, and taught bomb-making techniques to rebel forces.
The three men, who face up to eight years in jail, have denied the allegations.
Meanwhile, FARC members are suspected in two explosions Saturday in the central Colombian city of Villavicencio. The attack killed one man and injured 11 people, including seven police officers.
