Philippine troops have stormed a camp belonging to Muslim separatists accused of kidnapping of a South Korean man and a Philippine hotel owner --but they found no sign of the hostages.
Soldiers skirmished Tuesday for about an hour with 50 suspected members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), in the province of Sultan Kudarat, south of Manila, before taking over the camp.
The military has blamed the MILF for the kidnappings, which occurred last Wednesday, but MILF members have denied any involvement.
The MILF is the largest Muslim separatist group in the Philippines and is holding peace talks with the government.
