Bulgaria's National Assembly has defeated a no confidence vote on the government led by former king Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
Mr. Saxe-Coburg-Gotha's ruling coalition won the no-confidence ballot by 134 votes to 50.
The motion accused the government of creating social tension in the Balkan country, notably by increasing a sales tax on medicines by 20 percent.
The Bulgarian leader is quoted as saying the vote is a positive reflection of the responsible policies of his government.
