U.S. Air Force fighter jets had to intercept a private jet flying into the restricted Olympic airspace around Salt Lake City on Sunday.
It was the third time a plane has been intercepted at the Winter Games. The other two incidents took place on Friday. One was escorted to the Salt Lake City airport and the other was forced to change its route. On Saturday night, a passenger on a commercial flight from Los Angeles was briefly detained after refusing to observe special rules that bar passengers from leaving their seats for the last half hour of flights into the Olympic host city.
