Home country rider Candido Barbosa has won the 159.6 kilometer third stage of the Tour of Algarve in Portugal.
Riding for Portuguese team La Pecol, Barbosa clocked a time of three hours, 48 minutes, 10 seconds, to defeat Spanish riders Ruben Galvan and Angel Vicioso in a sprint finish.
Switzerland's Alex Zuelle continues to hold the yellow jersey as the overall leader. He has a combined time of 12:31:17 through the first three stages. Barbosa is second overall, 9 seconds behind the leader.
Tuesday's fourth stage is a 172.8-kilometer ride that begins and ends in Portimao.
