Japanese Share Prices Close Higher VOA News 12 Feb 2002 09:05 UTC 
Japanese share prices closed higher Tuesday, while the U.S. dollar fell against the Japanese yen.
Tokyo's key Nikkei index rose 192 points to finish at 9,878.
In Tokyo currency trading, the dollar ended the selling day at 133.62 yen, down slightly from the same time Monday.
The Hong Kong market will be closed until Friday for the Lunar New Year holiday.
