American golfer John Daly has moved to within one shot of the lead heading into Sunday's final round of the Buick Invitational in La Jolla, California.

Daly, who has not won since the British Open in 1995, carded a 4-under-par 68 Saturday for a three-round total of 9-under (207).

The leaders at 10 under are Americans Jerry Kelly, JL Lewis and Mark O'Meara, who has not won a tournament since 1998, when he took both the Masters and the British Open.

Daly is in a five-way tie for fourth place, with Rory Sabbatini of South Africa, K-J Choi of South Korea and Americans Jay Williamson and Kent Jones.

World number-one golfer Tiger Woods, who just survived the cut, came back with a 69 Saturday to move into a tie for 20th place, six shots off the lead.

Meanwhile, Swedish golfer Richard Johnson scored 11 points Sunday in the modified Stableford scoring system to win the ANZ Championship in Sydney with a four-round total of 46 points.

Australians Scott Laycock and Craig Parry tied for second place with 44 points.
