In the National Hockey League, Nashville's Denis Arkhipov split two defenders and scored while sliding to the ice in overtime to give the visiting Predators a 1-0 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Tomas Vokoun notched his second shutout of the season for Nashville, which has yet to lose in 15 overtime games this season.

New Jersey's Brian Rafalski found the net with nine seconds remaining in overtime Saturday to give the Devils a 2-1 victory over the Penguins in Pittsburgh. Philadelphia goalie Roman Cechmanek stopped 30 shots for his third shutout of the season as the Flyers blanked the Blues, 5-0, in Saint Louis.

Boston's unbeaten streak has reached six games, after the Eastern Conference-leading Bruins downed the visiting Florida Panthers, 4-1. The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Montreal Canadiens by the same score in Toronto.

The league-leading Detroit Red Wings edged the Senators 3-2 in Ottawa, where all five goals were scored in the second period. Detroit's Sergei Fedorov now has 351 career goals after scoring two against the Senators.

In the other NHL games Saturday, the Washington Capitals doubled the host Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-2. Vancouver's nine-game unbeaten streak ended when the Canucks lost to the visiting Calgary Flames, 4-3. And, the Chicago Blackhawks handed the Colorado Avalanche their fourth straight loss on home ice, 3-2.
