A hand grenade explosion outside a crowded market in the Indonesian province of Aceh has injured at least nine people.
Unidentified attackers threw the grenade onto the street Monday in the provincial capital of Banda Aceh, said police.
Soon after the explosion, U.S. ambassador to Indonesia Ralph Boyce arrived in the city on a two-day visit to meet politicians and security chiefs in the province.
Aceh has been wracked by decades of warfare between government forces and rebels of the separatist Free Aceh Movement.
