Spanish Crown Prince Felipe arrives in Moscow later Tuesday.

The 33-year-old heir to the Spanish throne is scheduled to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and other senior officials.

The discussions are expected to focus on Moscow's relations with an expanding European Union and Russian-Spanish cooperation. Spain currently holds the rotating presidency of the European Union.

During his five-day visit, the prince is to attend an exhibit at Russia's National Library celebrating 25 years of resumed diplomatic relations between Moscow and Madrid. He also is expected to take part in opening the Moscow branch of the Cervantes Institute for promoting the study of Spanish language and culture.
