Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej is reported to be in good condition after undergoing prostate surgery Sunday at Bangkok's Siriraj Hospital.
The 74-year-old king, the world's longest reigning monarch, has been treated for urinary tract problems since 1993. Doctors who examined him in December recommended that he undergo the surgery.
King Bhumibol has reigned since 1946 and is accorded god-like status in Thailand, although he has no executive powers.
