17 Dead in Sudan Ferry Accident

Sudan's state news media say at least 17 people have drowned in a ferry accident on the Nile River.

State-run radio says an overloaded small boat was carrying 20 people across the river Friday when it capsized near the village of Wad Rawa, about 80 kilometers southeast of the capital, Khartoum. Three people reportedly reached the shore.
