Authorities in Somalia say a grenade attack on the prime minister's residence in Mogadishu wounded four people late Friday.
Prime Minister Hassan Abshir Farah was not hurt in the attack. Two of those injured - both Mr. Farah's bodyguards - are reported to be in serious condition.
One report from Associated Press, quotes witnesses as saying an unidentified assailant threw a hand grenade at the prime minister's house, striking a tree where four of Mr. Farah's bodyguards were sitting.
No one has taken responsibility for the attack.
Prime Minister Farah is part of Somalia's transitional government, set up last year in an effort to stabilize the troubled African nation, which has been without a functioning government since 1991. He is involved in negotiations with armed factional leaders aimed at establishing a central government.
