The above color abstract
The below color abstract represents the purpose of God in Jesus Christ.

The red part of the cross represents the blood of Christ shed in atonement for the sins of mankind. The blue part of the cross represents the resurrection of Christ and his ascension into Heaven as well as his return to rule over the Kingdom of God on this earth. The green is the earth and the yellow circle touching the green is God's future Kingdom on earth. The yellow figure in the center represents his transition from a crown of thorns prior to his death to his crown of glory and power at the right hand of God Almighty. This transition starts with Jesus as son of man (but without sin) into the spiritual darkness and agony of separation from God the Father and on to his victory over this spiritual separation where as Jesus son of God he bridges that spiritual darkness and separation and with the power of God creates a place in Heaven that where he is we may be also. Thus it is that God has reconciled us to himself through his only begotten son Jesus Christ being both son of man and son of God.

My Testimony
Ted Hilts

*

Since this web page was specifically built to introduce myself and this web site to others I felt that I should offer a testimony of how God has worked in my life. Follow the text in the panels with this color.

---------------------------------------

As a young boy I first felt the calling of God tugging deep within my soul underlying all that I was. I now, many years later, walk with God in all that I do with my will surrendered to His. Of course, I have a lot to learn yet and there are many rough spots in my personality that need to be sorted out. But to continue. I still remember that tugging and now I know that it was Him. But at that time I did not know what was happening and was confused and could not talk to anyone about this inner compulsion.

As a young lad our family attended church but there was no sense of having what some call a 'personal experience with God'. There was only church attendance, learning about Bible stories in Sunday school, and behaving honestly and according to the rules of conduct taught me by my parents. No one told me that this inner emptiness and tugging was God's Holy Spirit trying to bring me to Himself and free me from the bondage of sin that separated me from God. Nor do I think that I would have understood these words because the church we attended was not stressing these Bible teachings. But I will use and explain those words to you as I progress through my testimony. For many of you reading this you will already know what the words mean and the impact on your lives. Also, I have tried to add the insight God has given me over the years.

*

What and why is sin?

*

I've heard a lot of definitions for sin but the Bible says that "We have all sinned and come short of the glory of God". Only Jesus Christ was without sin. This cannot be stated in a clearer fashion. Sin separates us from a holy God.
In general sin can be said to be man's will at odds with God's will.

Basically, every Christian teacher agrees that sin separates man from God. This is a spiritual separation for we are spiritual beings. But what does this really mean. The Bible says "For in Him (God) we live move and have our very existence". God is spirit, that is to say God is not perceived in the same way as is his creation. We cannot use terms that describe the creation to describe God. We the created can only reference God by saying things like "He is both the Beginning and the End". The part of God's creation (our dimension) in which we have our existence is perceived by man as physical in terms of space, matter, and time. God cannot be described in these terms even though God created this dimension of being. To repeat: "For in Him (God) we live move and have our very existence". This indicates the spiritual character of our dimension of being. But because we cannot physically appreciate God there is what is like a "veil" or "mask" between the creator and the creation. This aspect of separation is part of what the word "Holy" means. Therefore, God is beyond human comprehension as are many things man must deal with. So even though the creation coheres in God it is separate from God. However there is yet another aspect of God and His creation "man". It is God's plan that each man can have a special spiritual link where God's will and man's will merge. This is often called a personal relationship. But this cannot happen due to sin and this veil between God and His creation. It is this merging of wills where our will is directed by God's that cannot happen due to sin.

*

How man thinks

*

If we really want to understand this "veil" we have to understand how man thinks. For the way man thinks is part of the "veil". Man forms mental models called concepts (ways of picturing life and it's various aspects). Man often assigns names to these concepts. For example in the area of electronics and physics there is a model or concept called the electromagnetic field, and another one called gravity. Many other concepts have been formed by the mind of man to model things we cannot touch or see or hear in the normal way. We then develop theories and laws (often with a mathematical and/or logical basis) for these concepts and then predict events based on other events, and so on. Some models or concepts are very simple and some are very complicated. The word horse represents a generic model for all the hundreds of horse varieties, colors and sizes. These are things we can see and touch but we still use a mental model. An electromagnetic field is a generic model for all kinds, sizes, so called shapes, and intensities of electrically induced radiation we cannot see or touch. We all are constantly working with mental models. We can even build a radio or a TV set based on the concepts or mental models associated with the electromagnetic field model, electricity model, and some general physics models. Building a radio or a television is simply fabricating devices to display in some form information about things we cannot hear or see because they are remote from us. Similarly we can fabricate devices to display information about things we simply cannot hear or see, even with optical devices, like a so called single atomic unit. With a microscope and sufficient magnification we can see a virus but not it's specific DNA chain or it's molecules and atoms. But we find ways of fabricating devices to display information about these things. So why should it be any different when we address the issue of the creative forces behind all of life?

*

Man's thinking is inadequate

*

Many Theoretical Physicists have abandoned the old particle models used when universities taught that matter (consisting of atomic sized particles) were the basis of the universe. They have now been shown as inadequate and now wave models are favored. This is because as man investigates the causal character of space, matter, and time, the old particle models fall apart producing invalid predictions. Evidence, that after all, man only has a model and not an absolute knowledge. So it is with any model man creates in his mind to describe the universe. The further away he gets from that which he can see with his eyes and feel with touch or smell or taste, the more mathematical the models become and the more difficult it becomes for man to find ways to measure using devices constructed in the dimension of space, matter, and time.

Man must even fabricate measurement apparatus that produce visual and sound characteristics and distinctions that satisfy his need to see and hear in spacial and time terms. This gives rise to the expression, "If I can't see it I don't believe it". A simple example is the volt meter. When we use a voltmeter to measure the car battery we measure a potential between two points and display it as a number or place on a scale. That display is not the voltage. Neither is the number the voltage. The display is simply a fabrication that represents the voltage according to a universally agreed upon standard of classifying the voltage. We cannot see voltage nor can we touch it. We can only create an effect associated with what we call the voltage and then fabricate a display of this effect. Most of the people that work with electronic instrumentation, scientists included, don't understand this concept, they just assume they are working with absolutes.

What about a microscope. It magnifies a small portion of the subject area so we can see on the skin for example, single and multiple cell viruses and other organisms. But as we probe deeper into this we can no longer use optical devices and must revert to disturbing that which we wish to measure where the disturbance is itself converted into a fabrication representing size, shape, and time.

*

Most people don't know this and think that we have absolute as opposed to relative knowledge regarding measurements and therefore about our dimension of existence.

*

The knowledge is relative because these so called measurements are a fabrication of a physical effect the source of which we cannot see or touch. So the effect of disturbing something in a way that produces a physical phenomena that we can fabricate into what we call a measurement which describes the thing disturbed is biased based on the basic concepts we define for measurements. But this describes many of the sophisticated scientific mental models. That should not seem so strange as the human brain is designed to do this and is part of the mental nature necessary to cope with that which is invisible to us.

*

What is Spirit

*

But when a Christian refers to something they cannot see or touch, half the scientific community derides them and laughs just as they did with Leonardo da Vinci and his findings using the telescope. They can talk about the unseen because they have the "Scientific Process" that gives them credibility even though they imbed it with relative knowledge. What do Christians have?

In Christianity, the word "spirit" in part refers to that which gives rise to our dimension as we perceive it normally. This word doesn't mean anything else one might twist it to mean. It specifically addresses the creative process within which our dimension has it's being. This creative process cannot be defined in normal space-matter-time terms. Those in theoretical Physics have long known this. They may call what we call spirit by a different name but in part our name implies order and expression according to purpose. The closest human word is intelligence.

Our entire dimension and everything in it is driven by this "intelligence", there is no such thing as random events, only what appears to be random to the human mind and it's models. All events are structured within an ordered schema.

We cannot see with our eyes spiritual things. We cannot hear with our ears spiritual things. The word "spirit" in the format "spirits" also describes the basis of (to use the word loosely) intelligent entities within this dimension.

*

We are spiritual beings

*

We are spiritual beings as well as creations within this physical dimension. We can recognize (measure) spiritual phenomena but not with a voltmeter, a microscope, or a so called electron microscope (that bombards electrons at an object to create a disturbance resulting in measurable effects that we might visualize in conventional ways).

Because we are both spiritual and physical beings the human brain (in part) is an interface (more sophisticated than the electron microscope) between that which is spiritual and that which is physical. God created the brain for more than just controlling motor functions, seeing and hearing, and that sort of thing. For example researchers are rediscovering that the human body (and therefore the brain) contains - besides networks of nerves and blood vessels - also an electric network. Hey, isn't that something we cannot see and must disturb in order to make a conventional measurement. You bet it is!.

Christian Growth And Power

Article # 1
Christianity in our country is being seriously challenged by ideologies that deny the importance of Jesus Christ.

These ideologies are growing concurrent to great amounts of free time applied to recreational activities, sports, entertainment, lusts of the flesh, while work is demanding and focused on money as the bottom line. Within the rapidly growing Corporate environments there is no room or tolerance to Christian witnessing or Christian moral scruples.

Within big organizations and corporations there are socially acceptable non confrontational codes of conduct that replace Christian morality, directness, and honesty and allow deceit, manipulation, and secret agendas as well as dishonesty and evasive communications.

Christians have been feeling this pressure to 'back off' and tolerate laws and institutions within our society that openly promote homosexual and lesbian behavior, pornography, divorce, adultery, fornication, and other behavior that is condemned by the Bible and our Lord. (Click on the word tolerate)

So what does the Bible have to do with politics - say the politicians. Those times are gone say the politicians and lawmakers.

A gradual change is occurring to the word tolerance so that it stands for quiet acceptance of just about anything. (Click on the highlighted word tolerance). We have accepted the lie that we should tolerate that which we do not believe in. Eventually, our tolerance results in our children following the ways of the world.- the world we tolerate.

Coincident to all of this is the lack of power Christians demonstrate on all fronts. We accept the lie that religion and politics don't mix yet we believe in a coming Kingdom of God on this earth. We accept the lie that money should be worshipped as a god ( worship is the acceptance and praise of values associated with someone or something ). Where is the power of God displayed in our lives to heal sickness, disease, and calamity. Could it be that we have deceived ourselves by our tolerance that our hearts have grown cold to God's will and with that we also lose the power that comes with worshiping God (acceptance and praise of values associated with his plan and purpose for mankind)?

So it is no wonder with all these compromises that we fail to listen and obey the will of God in all that we do. We are too busy letting other people run our lives and intimidate us to look the other way and quietly accept the damage they do to our society. God does not want us agreeing to or with these things that are clearly condemned by the Bible. We should be opposed in all ways to turning our societies over to the anti-Christ.

This is not hate talk. As Christians we do not hate anyone, we love them as God loves them. But as God does, so do we as Christians hate conduct and social institutions that do not reflect the worship of God. This social situation in turn pressures Christians to be silent and allows it to worsen and further lessens the cause of Christianity world wide.

Help Us

Article # 2

In order for this web site to become a success we need knowledgeable Christians with writing skills and who are good communicators. Read this web page and listen to God's will for you on this matter. Also, maybe you know others that can help.

We also need people who are extremely well read in the Bible but also sensitive to new insights so that they can monitor Bible quotations and usage and ensure that the passages are not being misused.

It is a serious responsibility to teach others, advise others, counsel others, and even witness to others. We must be sure at all times that we are not propagating a lie or giving in to one.

Funding Of This Web Site

Article # 3

The funding for this web site will be obtained from advertisers who because of the hit rate (number of times the web site is accessed) think that they can get a lot of mileage for their advertising.

Only advertising acceptable to the Christian community will be allowed. An example of advertising would be a computer manufacturer.

By this means it makes it unnecessary to ask for contributions, and other arrangements for getting funding.

All volunteers will be unpaid and their time investment should be viewed as a service to our Lord. The site is only as good as the volunteers make it.

Testimony
Continued from the left...

*

Right there in the human body - electric fields, also in the brain. Are we so conceited to really believe that we know everything and that there are no other kinds of fields or models we have yet to define? Of course we are!

All through human history we have witnessed this dense brained phenomena where those that apply theoretical science believe they have obtained absolute knowledge of a subject. For example, doctors in the western world laughed at the practice of Chiropractors or Acupuncture or Herbal remedies (many drugs are created from herbs), and so on. When the steam locomotive was developed, leading practicing scientists in England predicted that the human body could not withstand the pressure of exceeding 20 miles per hour. What in the world did they base their prediction on? The list of this kind of nonsense seems endless.

When as spiritual entities we enter this dimension (sons of man) by the terms governing this dimension (born of flesh, blood, and bone and other things as biological beings) a "soul" is created for the first time. The Bible says, "fear not him that can kill the body but he that can kill the soul". The "soul" is thus born in an environment that is predatory and violent and rebellious to the will (the creative and consistent spiritual, purpose, plan, and Love of God).

This world that the "son of man" must learn to live in is dominated by a spiritual being call "Satan" who is described by Jesus as "a liar from the beginning". Satan spiritually accesses the mind of man and masquerades as God, and tries to manipulate man via his ego or sense of who he is. He has been very successful at doing this deception and appealing to mans fleshly nature and limited rational capabilities.

Satan was cast out of Heaven (term refers to spiritual environment that may be both physical and spiritual from where God - as God the Father - has his throne). Some of this I cannot discuss in this testimony but Jesus taught us that God is our Father and this is why we say God is a personal God and not an abstract spiritual intelligence. It is God the Father, in Heaven, that willed (gave direction, order, and perceptible substance) to all things named under Heaven which includes Satan, this physical dimension including among other things the earth, and the spiritual beings who enter this dimension as son's of men.

Sin, man's inherent rebellion to the will of God is a product of Satan's intervention in the creative process of God the Father. Satan wants to be worshiped (worship is the appreciation and praise of values and objectives of something or someone). The values of Satan are a predatory world where the inhabitants are manipulated to do his will so that his kingdom on this earth can live on and again threaten Heaven. Satan rewards man's indulgence into the pleasures of the flesh, the lust for power and dominance over fellow men, and gaining of temporal wealth through money acquirement and control. This is not to say that eating, drinking, and sexual behavior, as well as engaging in business are in themselves wrong.

*

What is wrong is the pursuance of these things in ways the Bible condemns and in ways which replace man's partnership with God.

*

Man because he is a spiritual being needs to be directed by a higher spiritual power otherwise his willing process lacks purpose. Man's willing process gives rise to how he models, his concepts, his thoughts, his feelings, and his behavior. The human willing process is spiritual based. As man wills the soul of man is fashioned. When man's physical form dies the soul continues as what is left. The spiritual entity is bound within the soul as part of the soul. The soul will either exist in what is called eternal death or what is called eternal life. So it is very important that the human soul learns to make the permanent "link" to get it's "willing" direction from God and not Satan. By now it should become clear that creation is an ongoing formative process that is spiritually based and in this physical dimension is still in it's initial stages and not without difficulty. The Bible says: "We wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers that are not of this world". That's what it says so that's how it is!

Satan will lie to man having access to man's mind even as he had access to the mind of Jesus Christ and tempted Him. Satan offered Jesus all the kingdoms of the world if he would worship Satan. Satan want's to be as God and that is why he was cast out of Heaven.

*

Satan struggles continually to maintain the spiritual gap that separates man from the oneness of God.

*

Man in himself cannot successfully bridge this spiritual gap and achieve oneness with God. Many people have deceived themselves (as Satan influences them) that if they meditate or do other things and quiet their thoughts and emotions they have achieved oneness with God. And they may indeed seek God but no man can do this on his own. Enter Jesus Christ of Nazareth about 2000 years ago.

The Bible says, "In the beginning was the word...and the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us". This was God incarnate. God the Father from Heaven had formed himself as son of man. But Jesus Christ was son of man without sin because Jesus Christ was actually a human manifestation of God. Jesus said: "Whoever has seen me has seen the Father".

*

We are about to see how God reconciled us to himself. This has to be the most overwhelming and fantastic thing I've ever come to know

*

The Bible says: "There is only one name under Heaven where man may be saved". The purpose of Jesus Christ was to make it possible for man to have oneness with God so that man's will would be directed by God the Father's will rather than having no direction and susceptible to the influence of Satan.

This being the case then it does not take much to understand how the soul will develop once we accept Christ into our lives. It will develop towards eternal life and in the riches of God's love.

Many Christian churches like to leave out all this information about sin and Satan and some even leave out the bit about Jesus Christ being an essential part of man's salvation from sin and eternal death. It's just to far fetched - they say. They say let's just pick and chose what we will believe. But nothing man says, does, or believes will change the ultimate realities of life. Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except by the son". We either believe this and try to understand how such a thing is possible or we don't. The bible says: "Whoever will may come".

Web Site Objective

I believe God is leading me to set up a web site that will foster Christian growth and power.

Traditionally North America, England, Europe, and Australia have been bases for Christian outreach and missionary work to the rest of the world.

There is a definite trend taking place in these countries in the form of a new ideology which is anti-Christ in character because it fosters belief in God with Jesus Christ relegated as a prophet among many. It is a composite of several key religions of the world and it is taking many different shapes.

I believe the Evil One, the anti-Christ is responsible for this ideology as he wants to destroy the Christian bases by supplanting Christianity with this ideology. This will make it possible for everyone to "feel" right with God while preoccupied with the pursuit of money, entertainment, sports, bodily lusts, material possessions, along with so called Love offerings of time and money donations to so called good causes.

In addition, if the trend continues the Bible will be condemned as full of hate with a move to ban it as it testifies that "that there is only one name under heaven whereby we may be saved". That sort of thing is contrary to the new ideology which is designed to lie to everyone and tell them that when they die they are going to Heaven because God regardless of life style, religion, or anything else will let everyone into Heaven. The implication is to shut out the Holy Spirit from transforming people into beings of God's Love.

With the new ideology the concept of sin, separation from God, eternal death because of sin, and eternal life in God's Love because of reconciliation through Christ will be lost. People under the new ideology will think they are 'close' to God but they will deceive themselves in this as they will know no better. For example; tell someone who lives in the desert and has never tasted a chocolate covered ice cream bar that it tastes like cool water and they will think they know but in point of fact they are deceived.

*

Using Technology And Love To Fight Back

*

This web site is currently under construction.

But Christians will be able to use this web site to reach out to Christians as well as non Christians. It can also be an example of how to use the computer and network technologies for outreach thus inspiring other sites and causing the technology to grow in the service of Jesus Christ.

This web site will be featuring the following list of items and will require volunteers to help according to their skills. Needed are authors, writers, journalists, teachers, editors, poets, and "know its", as well as counsellors, ministers/pastors, etc.

  • Testimonial database contributed to by Christians all over the world. Used by Christians and non Christians to discover what others have to say about turning to Christ, solving problems by seeking God's will, healing, dealing with situations at work, at school, at church, and so on. A good way of Christians sharing how God has transformed and works in their lives.
  • Intimate chat. Chat sessions between counsellors and Christians as well as non Christians seeking good Christian advise but confidentially.
  • Chat rooms. Chat between Christians, sharing of information, open discussions, news, and anything Christians need to talk to one another about. But here they can be talking around the world.
  • Forums, question and answer lists. A subject is submitted by email and everyone on the list or a member of the forum gets a copy. Email replies from those interested or knowledgeable go back into the list and get sent by email to everyone on the list. That sort of thing.
  • Christian monthly magazine containing articles, editorials, news, advertisements, etc.
  • Books on line for everyone to read.
  • Sermons on line for everyone to read.
  • Bible studies on line for everyone to read.
  • Bibles, dictionaries, and other references on line for everyone's reference and use.
  • Plus other features of general help to anyone such as: JOBS database, automatic web page for those wanting their own web page, Traders database for those wishing to exchange or trade products and services, and more.

Testimony
Continued from left..
*.

It took me a long time to understand that when Jesus Christ was crucified dead and buried having shed his blood on the cross of Calvary there was yet a deeper meaning to this event. The Bible says: "the penalty of sin is death". I've covered that already. The human soul has the choice of eternal death or eternal life. But Jesus as son of man, although without sin, took upon himself the penalty of sin which was to face the prospect of the blackness and agony of spiritual separation from God the Father. Why is this a big deal? God's main attribute is LOVE. As Love God cares deeply for his creation in a personal way as a parent should care for their child, guiding, forgiving, caring and protecting. This presence of this love is beyond description because it flows from God Himself. It dwarfs any kind of human love except for that exhibited by Christ. But God the father is also HOLY. That is God the Father is consistent and just, and consistent with the purpose and plan of His creation. As well he is beyond man's comprehension. How great and wondrous is our God.

As such, God the Father can be visualized in human terms as direct, honest and sure to accomplish his plan and purpose for man. But what do "you" do with a rebellious child that refuses to respect you, heed your advice, and disregards your care? If your child thought you had no values, no objectives, could not keep your word, did not believe in justice, and you were unreliable, then how on earth would they ever be able to really believe you, trust you, or partner with you?

So Jesus shed his blood to represent atonement for the sins of others. But Jesus did a lot more than just shed his blood.

Jesus as son of man died and was resurrected and ascended into Heaven with a transformed body. I can't cover all of this in this testimony. The point I want to make is that Jesus son of God (God the Father Incarnate) was also a soul as I've previously explained. His soul faced the blackness and agony of spiritual separation from God the Father. But with the power of the son of God (that side of his nature that inherited the qualities and power of God the Father) he was able to bridge that spiritual gap and then he formed a "place" in Heaven, that where he is we may be also. Another phase of the creative process by a loving and holy God.

Now there is no excuse to either live in sin or bear the consequences of sin. Eternal life is available to all but only through the work of Jesus Christ. The Bible says "Whoever desires may come". Does this mean that we all automatically go to a place in Heaven when we die? No! Why not?

We have to first partner with God. Our wills must be fashioned to reflect the purpose and plan of God for us in the overall plan of creation. That plan is explained in the Lord's Prayer: "Our Father who is in Heaven. Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in Heaven...". When you partner with God you have a contribution to make towards the coming Kingdom on this earth.

When you partner with God, according to Jesus: "You must be born again...". The Bible says: "the old man passes away and is replaced by the new man". A number of Bible statements make it clear that we must be transformed into a being who's will is directed by God the Father. For this to happen, Jesus also accomplished another great feat. Jesus said: "I will send the Comforter (who is the Holy Spirit) who will teach you all things". The Holy Spirit is how God the Father manifests his personal presence in our willing process. This is the true mark of a Christian, one who has received the Holy Spirit sent to him BY JESUS CHRIST. Thereafter, with the Holy Spirit at work in our soul our willing process gradually reshapes our thoughts, feelings, concepts, and actions so that we become a new man under Christ. The Bible says: "Let this mind be in you that is in Christ Jesus". Jesus prayed to God the Father: "that they may be one even as we are one".

We bind to God through the Holy Spirit sent by Jesus Christ.

This is what is meant when you hear the Bible verse: "For God (the Father) so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son (Jesus son of man and son of God) that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life".

A true Christian is named after Jesus "Christ" and as such they rely on Jesus Christ in all the above ways so that they become servants of God and not servants of Satan. They have the mind of Christ. They look to Christ as Lord and Saviour. They Love God through Christ and obey God through Christ and serve God through Christ. Only through Christ is it possible to be "linked" to God. Not only this but they have the power of Christ manifest in their lives by the Holy Spirit who abides with us always.

*

Staying Close To God

*
  • Train yourself to always, even for a moment, stop and listen to God's will for you.

  • Don't be intimidated into thinking God wants you to feel and act a certain way just because God is asking others to do so. Each of us has a special role that God wants us to play. He may be calling you to do something but that does not necessarily mean to be a missionary, evangelist, or teacher.

  • Wait for God's instructions.

  • Don't run ahead of God once you know what he wants you to do. Always check in with God. Your timing in life while serving God is sometimes critical. Therefore, don't push away so hard at doing His work that you don't hear Him warn you of dangers and alert you to opportunities. For example; God does not want you to die in some weird accident that could have been avoided if you were only 5 minutes earlier or 5 minutes later or did something a different way. So learn to listen and always be alert for Satan is out to get you one way or another. Once you are gone the body of Christ is one less and that's a tragedy. Think about it!
