The Features

The features of the web site are the "Testimony Database", "Intimate Chat", "Forum", "On Line Bibles", and so on. These are the items outlined in the far right column (light yellow) on the testimony.html web page - the web page where you clicked with your mouse to get here.

The "JOBS Database" has been completed to the point where it is now working but lacks the professional character that is required. For example it needs to be more user friendly because there are too many instructions on the form where one enters resume information. This is a highly secure database operation with the database itself residing on a private network with the user interface functions on this virtual web site. The code used to do the processing at both ends (private network end as well as web site end) and communicate between the private network and the web site are what are called CGI programs and they are mostly written in a coding language called Perl.

The free "Web Page Construction" feature where anyone can have their own web page is also working but requires a few more features so it provides sophisticated and attractive web pages and allows you to upload pictures to be displayed in the web page as well as to periodically update your free web page. This function runs at this web site and the code is also a set of CGI programs written in the perl coding language.

The design work and much of the code is already available for the remaining web site features but the implementation is one item at a time. Therefore, the "JOBS Database" feature must first be cleaned up and next the free "Web Page Construction" feature. The "JOBS Database" feature is much like the "Testimony Database" feature so the "Testimony Database" feature will be completed alongside the "JOBS Database" feature with the free "Web Page Construction" feature shortly after.

So, as you can see, there is a lot of technical work that has been done as well as yet to do. On top of the technical work there is a gigantic effort required to contact the Christian groups and organizations world wide and get their involvement. The Internet will become the information highway for the entire world. Therefore, it is important to take advantage of this technology in the early stages of it's growth and get Christian services to mankind up and running. This web site will require initially about 150 time committed volunteers to manage, help implement, and other kinds of contributions as briefly outlined on the testimony.html web page.

For those people wishing to get involved in the initial states of setting up this web site, such as testing out the features, their help would be welcome.

For those people wishing to be editors, journalists, authors, or sources of Bible and related knowledge then their help would also be immediately welcome as there is a lot to prepare.

For those people wishing to translate information written in English into other languages then here too there is an immediate need. Here they would be translating sermons, writings such as in a small or large on line books or poetry, or articles for the "On Line Christian Magazine", etc.

Christian music and art work also needs to be added into web page content.

Any technical help at all would be greatly appreciated as there is way too much for me to do all by myself all at once.

This web site will become one owned by the Christians who volunteer and contribute to it's success. It will become a model for other such web sites and the volunteers will become valuable references when other similar Christian efforts get launched. Web site development will be handled as a project that will gradually pass to the volunteers that make that project work. Project changes and decisions will be handled by a vote of registered and active volunteers. The vote process will be done by email and managed by a responsible volunteer initially voted as one credible for handling and processing voting. I believe this position demonstrates that the will of God will be dominant in the growth of this and other such web sites.

As I get mail sent to different churches in North America and as this mail get's passed on then the momentum will build. Initially, it will be a big, slow, and time consuming effort for me to continue the technical work and carry on without volunteers until the word is out and Christians are making this web site project their very own..
