The below color abstract
represents the purpose of God in Jesus Christ.
The red part of the cross represents the blood of Christ shed in
atonement for the sins of mankind. The blue part of the cross
represents the resurrection of Christ and his ascension into Heaven
as well as his return to rule over the Kingdom of God on this earth.
The yellow figure in the centre represents his transition from a
crown of thorns prior to his death to his crown of glory and power
at the right hand of God Almighty. This transition starts as son of
man into the darkness and agony of separation from God and on to his
victory over this spiritual separation where as son of God he
bridges that darkness and separation and with the power of God
creates a place in Heaven that where he is we may be also. Thus it
is that God has reconciled us to himself through his only begotten
son Jesus Christ being both son of man and son of God. |

Sustaining Revival |
 |
A great revival is
coming but we must first sanctify ourselves.
First let me say, I've had a very hard and
prayerful time with this web page. If it lacks the love and
consideration that it is supposed to declare then I am at fault and
would beg your forgiveness. As insight develops and I get feedback I
will revise these contents, unless of course there is no feedback. I
used Christian art, available on the Internet, to help with the
theme of this web page. I I
There is a theme throughout the Bible
characterized by the word sanctify or consecrate, meaning to
be separate from sin, dedicate to the ways of righteousness, or to
prepare for service to God. From a personal perspective and as
emphasized in the New Testament we are to prepare for eternal
life through oneness with God. This means to literally have our
souls join (bind to, become one in will and one in spirit while yet
remaining individuals) with He who is Life eternal. This starts with
our salvation from sin where the crucifixion of Jesus Christ
was an act of sanctifying us by giving us special status -
even though we are sinners given to and consumed by willing actions
that separate us from oneness with God. We gain this salvation if we
only accept the purpose of Christ for our lives by recognizing and
accepting that He alone, as God incarnate, has the power to
reconcile us to God and make it possible for oneness with God. He is
the Way, the Truth, and quite literally the Life. Such concepts are
hard for many to understand and therefore accept. Click on
testimony.html or
jesusword.html for more information.
Upon His triumph over death including the darkness and agony of
eternal death , by the power of God, His body was transformed and He
prepared (created) a place in Heaven that where He is we may be
also. Then after his ascension and marked by the Day of Pentecost he
sends the Comforter (Holy Spirit) to all that believe - even now.
This event of receiving the Holy Spirit seals our sanctification.
Our sincerity has been tested and God's presence is manifested in
our soul and we know at that time that we are joined to eternal
Life. When this happens, even today, many receive a kind of
spiritual baptism which manifests physically much like what happened
on the Day of Pentecost with the disciples of Jesus. Receiving the
Holy Spirit is the second step of sanctification performed by
Christ. But we must remain faithful and so there is a third
stage of sanctification which is the on going transforming
work of the Holy Spirit within our souls. This transformation
takes us from a person separated from God by sin to a person whose
will is merged with that of God such that the transformation moves
in the direction of being Christ like. We are all called
into the service of Christ by exercising God's love in us to do work
that supports the saving of souls from eternal death and the growth
of fellow Christians. This does not mean that every Christian is
called to be a pastor, missionary, evangelist, teacher, or healer.
But we are called to do all things as unto our Lord. As we
become more Christ like we inherit His powers.
It is this last stage of sanctification that
brings us to the purpose of this web site. A revival is coming like
not has been seen since the Christian movement began. This revival
will happen with or without my or your participation. In fact, it
has already started, many cannot see it happening. I for one would
rather be an active participant than just stand back and count my
blessings or use the excuse that the kingdoms of this world
currently belong to Satan so the best we can do is to be as
Christian as we can and wait it out till Christ returns, attend
church and prayer meetings, give our time and money as we can afford
to do so, and that sort of thing, even share our faith whenever we
have the opportunity, and if we see a revival we will do what we
can. Sounds practical but it's missing an essential
ingredient.
That ingredient is on going sanctification.
But what more can a Christian do than what was just covered?
God wants the "body of Christ" - those believers who are
bound to God through His Holy Spirit - to also be one. As
we are one with God we should also be one with each other. The
evidence of this is in the way we behave and interact with fellow
Christians. Are we as anxious for their well being as we are for our
own? Do we seek their involvement in our lives and our work for
Christ and do we provide our involvement in their lives or do we do
this to a limited extent just with the people in the church we
attend. In fact, are we limited in doing this at all, for fear of
offending someone or resenting their perceived interference, and
that sort of thing. Now, this is a problem, I've seen it often.
Regarding this kind of interaction, you are wrong if you do and you
are wrong if you don't. Now I speak of Christians, those that
profess the same faith, the same love, and the same purpose in life.
Besides difficulties with this kind of interaction, I see many
churches, many ministries all functioning within denominational
boundaries each with it's own followers and with a constant demand
upon those followers for financial assistance to support costly
missionary and other outreach functions as well as elegant and
costly church buildings and payrolls for those full time ministers
and other helpers of the various ministries. I see pensioners giving
up major amounts of money some of them really need. I see members of
the congregation working day after day and giving up much of what
they earn to support various ministries associated with their church
or denomination. I also see prayer meetings and happy get together
occasions of members with other members of the same church or
denomination. I also see strife between some members of the
congregations and between some ministers and members of the
congregations. So is this to be expected-is this normal, the way
things happen, just part of Christian life?
The point has been made - then why is it not
evident by the examples. Because most of us have all accepted
one of Satan's big lies. The lie is that what I have described
is a normal thing - not to worry. What we are witnessing in the
examples is that the "body of Christ" is divided into
numerous denominations and ministries and a fantastic number of
church buildings. Now I am not attacking these denominations, nor
their associated ministries, nor the expenses incurred in doing
missionary and outreach work, nor that pastors and others are on a
payroll, nor that there are church buildings, nor that there are
differences of opinion on many issues. And let me make it clear so
there is absolutely no confusion. Over the last few hundred years
the protestant movement has spawned all these many denominations as
Christians became more versed in the scriptures and more able to
listen to the Holy Spirit in their souls. This may have been the
beginning of the great revival that I speak of which is coming.
Also, it may have been necessary for these denominations to be
spawned in order to avoid the stagnation of insight regarding what
the scriptures teach and the work of the Holy Spirit in their souls.
It may indeed have been the reviving of the body of Christ, the
creating of an awareness in every Christians heart that they are
each responsible before God, and not before man, regarding how they
respond to the Holy Spirit. But as children become adults so one
must give up childish things and take responsibility for the events
of life. So it may be with the body of Christ, it may be time to
give up that kind of behavior which spawns denominations and
partitions within the body of Christ and adopt a new view of how to
deal with stagnation with respect to Christian growth. Sure, there
must be somewhere to congregate, to pray together, to work together,
and that sort of thing. Who said that a congregation had to be so
large that it requires a building the size of a hall to meet
together. Again, not that any of this in itself is wrong. Why are
the Christians that do meet together, sometimes in homes and as
small groups, usually of the same denomination? And what does
denomination have to do with the love of God. Is one
denomination actually implicitly saying to another that they don't
have enough value, they are not loved enough to associate with
because there are doctrinal differences. Certainly that is
not the intent, the intent was to separate in order to have the
freedom to worship according to new insights of the scriptures and
the desire for enriched spiritual growth. And that could not happen
in a hostile environment. Sure again, if anyone really wants to come
from another denomination to these gatherings they are usually
welcome, in fact also non Christians do get invited. And it's
certainly evident that most of these ministries, denominations, and
churches do have a common goal "Christian growth and evangelism".
So the good has been served by partitioning
the body of Christ, but only for a time, what now? It appears for
the most part these ministries do their work within denominational
boundaries and essentially compete with each other for the potential
converts for membership and eventually financial support. Even in
large evangelistic events converts are encouraged to pick a church
to attend, in so doing they join into the denominational separation
of the members of the body of Jesus Christ. Attending or even
participating in the occasional interdenominational evangelistic
outreach to win converts is not really bridging the problem.
I believe that the problem is quite
simply that Christians (regardless of doctrinal differences) cannot
create the necessary focus to reach the levels of sanctification
required to realize in their lives the full extent of God's love,
that if present in sufficient magnitude, could breach those
doctrinal differences. This was not possible in times past
because the body of Christ was reviving and had to partition to
avoid the hostile environment regarding new insights into the
scriptures and spiritual growth. But these new insights have brought
us into a new perspective of God's love and the power of that love.
For these insights we can give thanks to God for his servants in
many of the great ministries associated with various denominations.
These servants have been teaching that we must be attentive and "listen"
to the Holy Spirit. But it appears we as Christians have
collectively reached another point where to obtain the fullness of
God in our lives we must do a paradigm shift but not in the form of
another partition to the body of Christ because it is those
partitions that now hold us back. Because we cannot breach those
differences through love we separate according to a denominational
boundary and try to stay on good terms. Stop and think for a moment.
Picture the moment. Christ has returned. Many of these denominations
have been waiting for just this event. Now it has happened.
Denomination boundaries will simply dissolve. It is because
there is not enough love, the real presence of God (for God is love)
would just as would Christ if he were to return right now, melt away
those boundaries as invalid for the body of Christ. There is a
much greater love that can come out of members of the body of Christ
that is not partitioned by denominational boundaries than can come
out of one so partitioned - so divided. Christians focussing on the
love of God which is the Life of God, are limited in their growth
because of the lack of unity. Denominational boundaries tend to
limit the movement of God's Holy Spirit within that boundary. Are we
so blinded by Satan's lie that we cannot see that by implementing
this lie "Continue to divide the body of Christ", he is
using us against ourselves to shut off God's love through us. The
denominational boundaries do no harm if we as Christians act as if
they don't exist - if we don't rely on them - make them more
important than love. This is the real issue. We can belong to a
denomination but that should not impact our spiritual growth. But it
impacts our spiritual growth if because we belong to a denomination
we don't have full access and communion with all the saints. It is
my opinion, and I believe it comes from the Holy Spirit, and it will
prove out to be true, that if we as Christians had fellowship with
all spirit filled Christians regardless of denomination then our
interaction and oneness with the body of Christ would develop to
it's fullness with which comes full power. For
our oneness with God implies a similar oneness with the body of
Christ and as long as one or the other is lacking then I believe the
work of the Holy Spirit cannot complete in our souls the fullness
that is possible.
The theme of this web site is
sanctification towards the ultimate fullness of God's love which is
Life eternal as manifested in our souls by the Holy Spirit sent to
us by Jesus Christ, the Word of God. This involves a relentless
focus on our part as Christians to see that love manifested and
grow. Additionally, for that love to reach it's fullness we need to
have it grow in partnership with the entire body of Christ not just
a part. This means that all Christians everywhere must visualize
in their focus that their oneness with God implicitly involves a
oneness with the body of Christ. This means we have to learn to
love each other as we have been loved by Jesus. As Jesus washed the
feet of his followers we too must wash the feet of fellow
Christians, that is love them with the Life we have been given by
helping them acquire the same Life to the same extent. We don't
just grow individually we grow collectively. We don't just
focus individually we focus collectively. Only when this happens
will a self sustaining revival, maybe the greatest in all history,
take place or complete. I believe it will happen with or without me
or you. But I want to be part of making it happen. I want to be part
of building that focus throughout the body of Christ. It is a honor
for me or you or anyone else to have such an opportunity to help.
So let's make the revival happen by taking
the opportunity to help Christians everywhere seek sanctification
towards the fullness of God's love which is Life eternal. Let's
teach Christians and convince Christians worldwide to develop the
necessary focus and learn to extend that focus into both oneness
with God as well as oneness with the body of Christ. For
this is the work of the Holy Spirit sent to us by Jesus Christ, to
teach us of this love and focus so that we may participate in Life
eternal. Let us by our ministries and other behavior and plans
act as if there are no denominational boundaries. For if Jesus
Christ has sent the Comforter (the Holy Spirit) to an individual
then they are automatically a member of the body of Christ and not
only require our love but should expect it and their focus should
extend to the fullness of oneness with God as well as the world wide
body of Christ where denominational boundaries should be invisible
and where God's Holy Spirit moves in one
and all to the same purpose and plan..
