Email from Jay Atkinson New World Order. Many believe that there will be a New World Order coming that will change the face of international politics and bring the bulk of the church with it. Are they blind? Look around you, don't wait for it to come for it is here already. Can you see it? Do you have those spiritual eyes that takes away the veil of delusion? Do you have ears to hear what Jesus is saying to the churches? Many have taken the mark of the beast already and worship it's image. They think it is Jesus bringing revival but it is apostasy and they have fallen prey to the god of this world. The kingdom of Jesus is not of this world, nor it is given over to its politicians. I see delusion and falseness all around me, I am surrounded with deception and bombarded with deceivers that know I am supposed to love them anyway. That's tough in the flesh but Jesus is faithful. I am also among those with great love and spirituality that hear the Lord. The problem with Christians in recognizing the prophesied New World Order is that they refuse to come out of the religious world order that is putting it together. They have become worldly, mired in their own self-righteousness and right-wing materialistic confusion. I see so-called Christian prophets disguising this New World Order as ordained and anointed of God when it is fact demon inspired. This is the delusion that God has sent to the church for believing a lie. The remainder of Jay's email can be found in the first article of this series. . Response In response to Jays email to his group members the following contribution to that discussion is made by this web site ministry. A book has been published by Word Publishing in Nashville. The title of the book is Mind Siege. The book has joint authors Tim Lahaye, author of the Left Behind fiction series and David Noebel, head of Summit Ministries. These authors are calling Christians everywhere, specially in America, to wake up and exercise their rights to believe and behave as bible based Christians. As we all know and as is pointed out in the book, Christianity has been silenced in our schools and driven from the public arena. For the remainder of this response refer to the first article of this series. Addendum to the first article A great proliferation of books, magazine articles, and TV media shows are promoting homemade religions based on imagination and distortions of truth revealed in the bible, science fiction, and other world religions. These man made religions range all the way from worship of angels to modern age occultism, to pick and choose parcels of information taken from several traditional world religions to come up with customized religions. Many of these man made religions speak of love, God, angels, communication with the spirits of the dead, to aliens from outer space, living in multiple dimensions, worship of sex and associated obscenities, and many other flavors of the human imagination extended from and distorted from sources like the bible, science fiction, and the teachings of other religions that have been around for over a 1000 years. What is common about all of these religious fads, make your own religion efforts, whatever you like goes type of life-style philosophies, is that they are man made and based on the limitations of the natural man who the bible declares is not capable of knowing God and defining religion. As bible based Christians we believe that the Holy Spirit of God must do this work through man. Also, as Christians we believe that only Jesus Christ can send the Holy Spirit into a persons life. Therefore, there is absolutely no room from the perspective of bible based Christianity for a non Christian to define their own religion. But as Christians we also believe that God has moved through His Holy Spirit to inspire the writings in the Bible. Therefore, for Christians, there is no need to create a new religion. The perspective of God has already been defined. But with these fads, we have the man that professes to know God but lives in the delusion of the very philosophy he fabricated. Of course some of these religious fads don't even recognize God. The imagination is a great thing when it is fastened to knowledge that one can rely upon. In this case the imagination can be a tool which helps explore extensions from a sure base. But when the imagination becomes a process for constructing a religion of avoidance then the delusion leads to eternal death not eternal life. A religion of avoidance is one which is constructed to avoid dealing with specific issues. This is why so many false doctrines and man made religions and bible based mutations have occurred. Because the inventors and followers of these fads have fooled themselves into thinking that the religion they have fabricated with their imaginative minds can replace the teachings in the bible. Most everyone of these man made doctrines and religions tend to de-emphasize the role of Jesus Christ in human affairs. It appears that anything goes as long as it evades dealing with Jesus Christ. This is the trend. And as trends go a lot of people convince themselves that the bandwagon is the place to be, follow the leader. As such these man made doctrines and religions are anti-Christ in character. And this is one of the strategies of the Anti-Christ. The strategy is to create such a confusion about the truth by the proliferation of such garbage that one of two things happen. Religion as a whole is discredited by this confusion or one or more of these many anti-Christ life style approaches will catch on and capture the imagination of the world at large. Either way, the anti-Christ views these two outcomes as a victory against Jesus Christ. There are hundreds of thousands of books produced each year having man made religions as content. From the Christian perspective, any such book that does not teach the bible but rather distorts the truths revealed in the bible is a man made religious product. From a bible perspective the knowledge that one can rely on is found within the bible and if not easily reconcilable to the bible is the result of the natural mind which is enmity to God. So given the content of the first article and adding the strategy of confusion and proliferation of man made religions the challenge to the Body of Christ is significantly increased. This proliferation of man made religions - make your own religion - tends to teach people that this is a good thing to do. Right and wrong become relative to the objectives of the person and have no relation to God and no recognition of the role of Jesus Christ in their life or life style. A common expression is "It works for me". What we really have here from a bible perspective is man worshipping himself. A form of idolatry. Man goes off and creates an idol from a piece of stone or wood. But here we get an idol of a little more sophistication. Man in order to avoid the bible teachings and Jesus Christ simply fabricates his own religion based on his own mind and imagination and then worships that mental idol. If this new religion makes him feel good (by his own definition of good) then it works and so it must be right based on how he feels, based on his lusts. On the other end of the spectrum of religions is "sports" and "business". Many people get so bound up in sports and business that they have no time for the bible, God, or Jesus Christ. The sports events become everything to them. They talk sports, think sports, know all the statistics, go to all the games, get into arguments and conflicts over sports outcomes, collect sports memorabilia, read sports magazines, and spend most of their free time with peers of the same persuasion. They also take immense pride in their knowledge of the game or games, and mix sports with various worldly lusts. A similar thing happens to many in business, it too has become a religion, a way of life. Just as the sports fanatic will get intoxicated with the game, scream, yell, whistle, insult, and generally just worship the game, so will the business person seek prestige, management positions and political empires, status among their peers, spend inordinate amounts of time trying to be successful in the business world, and most importantly, worship the bottom line, the dollars of gain for the business enterprise. In fact the whole reward system is based on the increase in market share and the benefits of profit and accountability to stockholders. Here we have a religion motivated by lust for money and the associated status and material acquirements associated with that lust. In America today both the religions of sports and business have become socially correct, accepted, and desirable mainstream diversions from the Christian way of life. These diversions such as man made religions, the religions of sports and business, all work together to weaken the position of Christianity in our society. The lust to worship oneself, the lust to make a religion out of sports and business, and the associated hypocrisy of the resultant life styles also serve to infect Christians and weaken the Body of Christ. This is why the bible declares that Christians should be godly and holy and in accordance with the mind and character of Jesus Christ, work with each other in the love of God towards mutual edification. Christians are encouraged to acquire gifts and abilities which they can use to help each other. It is the role of church leaders to so equip the members of the body of Christ so they can assemble together (the Greek word translates to church) for the purpose of this intimate and collaborative interaction. I Corinthians 14 is the apostle Paul's description of a "church" service. Similar passages exist elsewhere in the New Testament. Church is all about members of the church (assembly) intimately working together towards the good of all and the various ways they can interact to substantially edify one another. But the last verse of the preceding chapter explains that love is most important in these proceedings and interactions. And we are again reminded of the command of Jesus Christ to love one another with the same love (the same intensity, sacrifice, and bonding, and oneness) that He has for each one of us. We are losing our society only because we are not manifesting this love between members of the "church", the Divine fellowship of believers. And for this love to be manifest we must engage in the intimate collaborative interaction between members as repeatedly described in the New Testament writings. |
